Iscar Industries, Upper Galilee
Tefen, the site of Iscar's campus, is a mountainous rural area in the Galilee, in northern Israel. The campus is designed as a park with independent structures scattered throughout the landscape. The buildings define an open and central garden with a ring service road surrounding the site and servicing the buildings via a multi-purpose yard. Special attention was paid to landscaping and integrating the buildings into the natural environment. The buildings are articulated as simple, horizontal, rectangular volumes made of pre-cast concrete elements. They function as open systems enhancing flexibility and change, while generating a formal aesthetic language attained from the gestalt effect of the campus’ configuration. Data Program: Tool plant, Hard metal plant, and a marketing and training building.
