Janco Dada Museum, Ein Hod
Sitting in the hilly terrain of the artist village of Ein Hod, the museum is seamlessly integrated into the landscape. The structure is simple and aspires to be a continuation of the modernist spirit that Janco, one of the founders of the Dada art movement, imbued. At the same time, the building maintains the local architectural vernacular. The visitor accesses the building through a small open courtyard and continues inside. It is perceived as a single story building and evolves into split-level volumes, which make up the main exhibition spaces, continuing into a roof terrace with views out to the surrounding landscape and the sea.
