The building is located at the western entrance to Jerusalem next to "Binyaney Hauma". It functions as the main archive of the historical documents of the Zionist movement.
The premises consist of two different programs – the archive itself, which requires special storage conditions and is therefore located underground; and a public library, reading room, and offices which are located above ground. This two story horizontal building, clad in Jerusalem stone, offers a new interpretation of both the modern strip window and the oriental Jerusalem arch.
